Abstract

For a long time, most ophthalmic studies and articles have been devoted to the therapy and surgery of severe eye diseases. However, more than 50% of animals with ophthalmologic symptoms are admitted to the veterinarian of the general profile not with severe ophthalmopathy, but with complaints of periodic or permanent reddening or irritation of the eye, the presence of minor mucous secretions, the formation of crusts on the eyelids, and lacrimation. Such an erased clinical picture is often the initial stage of various inflammatory diseases of the eye.
